Branson, Missouri

Branson, Missouri is one of our favorite places to visit.  Pam and I have been there several times and both this year and last we took her parents.  Since Grandma is about to get on any airplane, we driven, which is about a 13½ trip.  But to make it a little more bearable we do it in two days each direction.

Branson is amazing because there are so many theaters and so many different shows.  The gal at the hotel told me there are 82 different shows a day in Branson.  They have 8:00am shows, Noon shows, 3:00pm show and evening shows.  Some of the entertainers are famous and well known, and others are complete unheard of but extremely talented.

There's a little diner called The Hard Luck Cafe and all of the waiters and waitresses are singers.  They singer while waiting tables and serving food.  And they are very, very good.

Branson is in the Ozark Mountains and very close to Table Rock Dam and Table Rock lake so you can Ride the Ducks or take a Dinner Cruise on the Branson Belle.  There's more to do that you can get done in a week.  That's for sure!  They also have a new river front area in the old downtown Branson, and whatever you do don't miss Dick's Five and Dime in old town Branson.  You've never seen so much stuff in one store.

Yakov Smirnoff has a very funny show in Branson
and he really makes you appreciate being in America.
