Intercourse, Pa I'm not kidding, that's really the name of the town! Intercourse, Pa is in Lancaster County and once you forget about the name of the place it's actually a fun place to visit. Amish country of all things, with a name like that. It's right next to Bird in Hand, Pa, which is where we stayed.
But anyway, there are Amish Buggy rides and all kinds of little shops. And the local merchants do have fun with name when it comes to selling tee shirts, hats and refrigerator magnets. Here are a few of the slogans we saw on tee shirts and hats: "I love Intercourse" then in small letters, "Pa". "Virginia might be for lovers, but Pa has Intercourse". The intercourse pretzel factory had their own hats: "Intercourse pretzel factory. Soft or Hard".
